Winter League Open

To celebrate the new Commander league, we’re running a tournament that loosely ties into it. This event is open to anyone, irrespective of their participation in the league, but any player in the league can choose to count one or more games from this event toward their league results for week 1, even if their opponents in those games aren’t participating in the league. Further, they can choose whether or not the games count after the game is over, and they can choose to have the results of any game in this event supersede the results of any game played earlier in the week. The league scoring system doesn’t apply to the results of this event, but should still be used to score games for purposes of the league. This is not a cEDH event, but–as a tournament–players should expect that many decks will be a little more competitive than average, and be okay with facing higher-powered cards and strategies. Players should keep in mind that politics and temporary alliances can often defeat opponents with higher-powered decks. Our prize support is meant to encourage fun, rather than cut-throat, strategies.
