About the instructor: Matt Shoemaker has been painting miniatures for more than 25 years. He began painting miniatures for use in his D&D campaigns and then branched out to wargames when he found Star Wars Miniature Battles by West End Games. Since then he continues to paint for D&D as well as well as wargames such as Lord of the Rings Strategy Battle Game, Necromunda, Blood Bowl, Drop zone Commander, Guild Ball, Warmaster: Lord of the Rings, and others. Matt has also used miniatures in dioramas, and typically works in the scales of 10mm, 25mm, 32mm, 54mm, and 1/10th scale busts. He has learned several painting techniques and associated skills including air brushing, sculpting, molding, and casting. He has also used 3D printing technology, both FDM and SLA, to create miniatures for painting.
