Slow Grow League: Wars of Faith

Join us for our first Warhammer 40,000 slow grow league in many years! The campaign runs April through June, 2023, with participants playing two games per month. All games must be played at Redcap’s Corner. 40K night at Redcap’s is Tuesday evenings, but players should coordinate with their scheduled opponent to find a day and time that works best for both players. Pairings can be found here each month. Scoresheets from each match must be turned in to Redcap’s staff at the conclusion of each match. Scoresheets will then be collected and the standings updated periodically. Players will be ranked according to total wins, with total Victory Points as the first tiebreaker, and win % as the 2nd tiebreaker. Do not add 10 “Battle Ready” (painting) Victory Points to the scores. Please see the campaign packet for full rules. All participants must be registered by midnight on March 31st in order to be included!

Players who wish to be judged for the painting award may upload up to 3 photographs of their army to the Redcap’s Discord #slow-grow-league channel during the final two weeks of the campaign. This will allow players to continue painting their army during the duration of the campaign. The winner will be decided by a community vote among the campaign players. Players may not vote for their own entries. Please note that nobody is required to paint their army to any particular standard, or even at all. Part of the fun of a league like this, for some players, is the extra incentive to get some painting done, but there’s no pressure at all to make that part of the experience. Some armies will likely hit the table fully painted day one, others will get painted little by little over the course of the campaign, and others will start and finish the campaign as gray plastic.
