The first Dungeons & Dragons game was played back when Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson chose to personalize the massive battles of their fantasy wargames with the exploits of individual heroes. This inspiration became the first fantasy roleplaying game, in which players are characters in an ongoing fantasy story. This new kind of game has become immensely popular over the years, and D&D has grown to include many new ways to vividly experience worlds of heroic fantasy. The core of D&D is storytelling. You and your friends tell a story together, guiding your heroes through quests for treasure, battles with deadly foes, daring rescues, courtly intrigue, and much more.
What Dungeons & Dragons events do you host?
Our D&D events are primarily part of the Adventurer's League organized play campaign, which allows players to play their characters alongside thousands of different gamers, and virtually anywhere in the world. We run Adventurer's League games every Thursday evening, and they feature heavily in our two annual roleplaying conventions, the Seelie Court (which takes place the second weekend in April each year) and the Unseelie Court (which takes place the second weekend in October). We also run occasional Adventurer's League epics, and sometimes take part in special events offered by the Wizards Play Network.
What Dungeons & Dragons products do you sell?
We carry the full line of 5th edition D&D rulebooks, as well as Nolzur's Marvelous Miniatures, the Icons of the Realms miniatures, the GaleForce9 spellbook cards, and a variety of second-hand miniatures. We also sell numerous dice and map sets compatible with D&D. As a Wizards Play Network store, we are able to sell D&D books 11 days before their official release date.
