Well, it happened. Philly entered phase Yellow. Unfortunately, we’re not confident that we’ve seen the last, or even the worst, of COVID-19, so we aren’t yet ready to fully re-open. That said, our staff is back to work starting today, and we’re offering curbside pick-up between noon and 6pm every day until we feel comfortable re-opening retail! We will continue to fill out our online inventory, and any orders placed online can be picked up during these hours (if you’d rather not have them shipped or delivered). You can also call in with orders, including from just outside the store if you’d prefer.
After we’ve had some time to take the pulse of the continued threat, consider the best way to re-open to the public, and properly implement our solutions, we plan to re-open our retail area, but this will likely not occur before July 1st. At this point, our play areas will remain closed, and this is likely to remain true for the foreseeable future. Once we’re sure we can open them responsibly, we will. We can’t wait to resume our calendar of events, but it just isn’t a good idea right now. Until Philly enters phase Green, we’d be limited to assemblages of 25 people or fewer, but the nature of our events just makes social distancing impossible, even with reduced attendance caps.
Fear not! Events at Redcap’s will return, bigger and better than before. In the meantime, though, we’ll be focusing on getting to the point where we can run our local delivery more like an eatery, delivering within an hour or so of an order being placed. We are also planning an absolutely massive restock once our website has a little more of our core inventory loaded onto it. Thank you so much to everyone who supported us during our closure. We truly couldn’t have made it without you, and we can’t wait to see you again!
- We will not be running a Core Set 2021 prerelease. We will still be selling prerelease packs.
- All of our summer camps have moved online, but our camp programs are still happening! Check them out here.
- Most of our Spring, Summer, and Autumn annual events are cancelled this year, and won’t have make-up dates. There may be some exceptions.
